On behalf of the BCHS PTO, (formerly the Bethlehem Central Community Organization (BCCO)), welcome to the new school year. The BCHS PTO is a volunteer organization comprised of parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, and students working together in an effort to enrich and support the academic, cultural, and social growth of students at BCHS while creating a lasting sense of community. Of primary importance is the goal to facilitate and increase communication as well as foster relationships between the administration, staff, parents, guardians, and students of the BCHS community.
To promote open communication and understanding, the PTO seeks to serve as a liaison between families, teachers and administration. We, therefore, encourage families to contact us with any concerns or questions that you may have. We will present your concerns to the appropriate members of the staff and administration and strive to find answers to your questions.
In striving to fulfill its mission, the PTO also engages in fundraising to support various programs and activities. Monies raised throughout the year, primarily through the annual membership drive, are used to support the following:
• Hospitality for the high school Open House and Senior Awards Event
• Ad-hoc Grant Requests & School Events
• Several scholarships for qualifying, graduating BCHS seniors
• Funding for the Graduation Celebration
• Additional student/teacher/administrator needs as requested
• HS Staff Appreciation activities
Our yearly membership drive is the BCHS PTO’s primary funding resource for these programs - we encourage all high school families, teachers, and staff to please consider joining the BCHS PTO - your contribution will help to ensure that the BCHS PTO can continue to support our students and school.
